How Wardrobe Pricing Is Measured

Standard built-in wardrobes are priced per linear metre: the visible front width of the wardrobe measured horizontally. For example, a 3-metre-wide wardrobe equals 3 linear metres, regardless of internal depth or height.

Square metre figures are sometimes used internally to calculate board and finish quantities, but they are not used as the client-facing selling unit on this page.

Walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms are priced per project instead of per linear metre, because their layout, size and fittings vary too widely for a single linear rate.

What Each Price Range Includes

The AED 1,200 per linear metre starting rate is an indicative starting price, not a fixed quotation for every wardrobe. It assumes approximately 2.4-metre standard height, approximately 600 mm standard depth, melamine carcass and shutters, a basic shelf and hanging rail layout, no internal drawers, no premium organisers, no integrated LED lighting, basic soft-close hardware, standard site conditions, and a larger multi-metre order. Wardrobes that fall outside these assumptions are priced further up the published range. Final pricing always depends on actual measurements and an approved specification.

Sliding and premium wardrobe ranges follow the same logic: the lower figure reflects a simpler specification, and the upper figure reflects added features such as premium hardware, drawers or integrated lighting.

Example 1 — Standard hinged wardrobe: A 3-metre-wide standard hinged wardrobe may range from approximately AED 3,600 to AED 6,600, excluding 5% VAT, depending on the internal arrangement, finish and hardware.

Walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms are quoted per project because room size, layout and fittings vary widely between homes. The published ranges (AED 15,000–80,000+ for walk-in wardrobes and AED 40,000–150,000+ for luxury dressing rooms) reflect this variation: a small walk-in closet sits toward the lower end, while a large, fully fitted dressing room with premium finishes and lighting sits toward the upper end.
